PROJECT STATUS

As of this week, the Whedonverse Multimedia Project has donated 126 DVDs to 10 different libraries across the United States and Canada. Our expenses are averaging $35.85 per season of the shows.

The next library on our waiting list is the Horicon Public Library in Wisconsin. At the moment, we have about a third of the donations needed to send them a complete set of Buffy, Angel and Firefly.

After Horicon, we will be sending care packages to soldiers stationed overseas in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. We will pick a couple of soldiers listed on AnySoldier.com who have requested DVDs as among the items they could use. Our care packages will include a Firefly DVD along with various requested items such as liquid soap, deodorant, toothpaste, or snack foods.

PLAYA VISTA TO GET A DOSE OF THE WHEDONVERSE

An order has been placed on behalf of the Playa Vista Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library System. A complete set of Buffy, Angel and Firefly is scheduled to arrive at their doors in mid-September. Shannon Salmon, the young adult librarian, informed us that she is "very excited" to be getting these items for her patrons.

THINK ANGEL IS A DOLL?

We do too! One lucky fan is going to be selected as the winner of a Sideshow 12" Angel Action figure on July 25th. Every $5 you donate to the Whedonverse Multimedia Project between now and mid-night on July 24th will automatically enter you into the drawing. The proceeds from your donation will go to bringing the worlds of Buffy, Angel and Firefly to public libraries and other organizations who have requested them for their collections.

SHOP AND SUPPORT THE WHEDONVERSE!

As many of you already know, anytime you use the Amazon link on our website to purchase items a small percentage of the value of that purchase goes back to funding the Project. Recently, we've added another way that you can shop and support us at the same time. The Whedonverse Multimedia Project has signed up with IGive.com. Fans can sign up on their site, select the Project as their chosen charity, and then everytime you shop at one of over 600 stores including: Lands End, Office Depot, JCPenney, Neiman Marcus, Expedia, Barnes & Noble, and eBay just to mention a few!

ELIZA SENT A MESSAGE FROM FANS

As promised, the Multimedia Project sent a card to Eliza Dushku via her management at The Firm, to let her know about the donations made in her honor, fans appreciation of her work as Faith, and their best wishes regarding her future projects.

The front cover depicts a director behind a camera (like you would see on the set of a tv show) with a pretty design circling all around and the word "Thanks" across the top.

The inside left of the card reads:

"I'm writing to you on behalf of the Whedonverse Multimedia Project which seeks to bring the worlds of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly to public libraries and other organizations that want these shows for their collections.

Recently, fans made donations to the Project in honor of your work as the character Faith on Buffy and Angel.

Faith is an extraordinary character and your portrayal of her made her story an inspiration to anyone trying to change their lives for the better.

There is hope that one day they may get to see Faith again either on the big screen or television. Whatever happens, we wish you the best in your career!

Sincerely,

Your Fans

Matthew C., Sandra G., Cari K., Thomas C., Zach W., Kenneth J., Svetislav S., David M., Teresa F., Neal M., and Jewel C."

The inside right cover reads:

"You gave us Faith! We look forward to seeing whatever character you bring to life next!"

THANKS!

As always, the Project is grateful for everyone's support!
