PAIGE AND TURNER WELCOME THE VERSE

While they may look learily at Clem, kittens Paige and Turner who reside at the Round Lake Area Public Library in Illinois are otherwise happy to welcome Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series, and Firefly to their abode. We've informed their staff to expect the DVDs to arrive sometime around June 18-21.

WHERE IS THE VERSE HEADING NEXT?

With your help, we'll be sending DVDs to the following:

Playa Vista Branch Library, Los Angeles - California
Horicon Public Library - Wisconsin
AnySoldier.com - Care Packages to Iraq*
Robbins Library, Arlington - Massachusetts
Fullerton Public Library, Fullerton - California
Salisbury TAFE Library, Salisbury - South Australia
Grande Prairie Public Library, Hazel Crest - Illinois
Hays Public Library, Hays - Kansas
Ramapo Catskill Library - New York
*Will contain other items in addition to DVDs

RAFFLE DEADLINE APPROACHING

You have about one week left to enter to the drawing for a copy of Firefly the complete series on DVD and the book Finding Serenity.

A $5 donation will automatically enter you into the drawing. Proceeds will go to providing DVDs to public libraries and other charitable organizations that request them.

SPREADING THE WORD

The Whedonverse Multimedia Project needs your assistance in getting the word out to other fans about what we're trying to accomplish and how they can help. Please feel free to download one of our flyers and post them on public bulletin boards and drop them off at book stores, comic book stores, video stores and anywhere else a Whedon-fan might frequent.

WHEDONVERSE JOINS THE ANGEL BOOSTER BASH

The organizer of the Whedonverse Multimedia Project will be attending the Angel Booster Bash in Los Angeles July 29 - 31. She will be co- hosting a "Future of the Verse" symposium on Sunday July 31 from 6:30 - 7:30 PM in the Beverly Hills room of the hotel along with Theresa Fortier who's campaigning for a Spike Movie and Ruth Campuzano who is campaigning for an Angel/Buffy movie.

We're still spreading the 'Verse one library at a time thanks to your support! Your kindness is greatly appreciated!

You don't have to take my word for it. Here's a note from Elizabeth Crane, Director of the Round Lake Area Library when I notified her about our donation:

"That's WONDERFUL! Thank you so much! Interestingly, I was talking with a big group of our employees at the end of last week about Firefly, (They've already heard me talk Buffy to death!) and lots of people were interested in seeing it!"
