You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Doom!

Just because something can't be explained doesn't mean it becomes yours.

Well, if IMDB said it, then it must be true.

I think a reboot would be a bad idea - plus it seems way too soon.

While details are sparse, filmmakers claim the movie would not revisit the vampire slayer’s high school days, attempting instead to capture the “witty, tough, and sexy” heroine in a new way.

C'mon folks.... what could POSSIBLY go wrong here ?

You can't really ask for a more obvious and cynical attempt to get a piece of that Twilight cash.

"I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him."

The reboot will be done by Warner Brothers not FOX, it'll also be done WITHOUT Joss.

I won't see this even if they throw in FREE "Snow Caps".

I think the producers picked her up for her ideas about a Buffy reboot, possibly just for a treatment she wrote, which means that she now has to write an actual script. Big difference between a treatment and a completed script.

Regardless, definitely not a good idea to hand such a valuable franchise over to a newbie screenwriter.

WHODIED

I've read a few of these news stories and a bunch of the comments. One thing that a number of folks have suggested is tell the story of SOME OTHER slayer and leave Buffy alone. But the producers claim to be updating her (all of seven years) for a new (obviously read: Twilight) generation, so how can they? Buffy is pretty much the only character the Kuzui's own: ALL SUBSEQUENT SLAYERS are part of the show, not to mention already activated.

Plus, the Slayer magic has to be lost soon, so that Melaka Fray can "rediscover" it.

Whatever. All I know is only Joss can make Buffy like she and we deserve: Whit-less!

Why Buffy, why now? As the Twilight Saga winds down with the first part of the final installment Breaking Dawn opening next November, its exit will leave a gaping hole in the "emo-vampire" genre that has proven to draw huge female teenage audiences. Buffy could be ready to roll out with a recognizable name and potentially recognizable young cast as Twilight fans bid farewell to Bella and Edward and look elsewhere to aim their crushes and fantasies

:disappointed:

Only if she stakes them in the heart.

Seriously though, I'm never going to see this film. I'll just stick with the dvds
