There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I'll continue the sidetrack. I consider Spielberg to be, at the same time, one of the most over-rated and under-rated directors of all time. The things he has done with which most people are familiar (Indiana Jones, Jaws, Close Encounters, Jurassic Park) pale in comparison to his more serious endeavors. I would place Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, and Empire of the Sun well above those others.

As for A.I. - http://templetongate.net/ai.htm - I liked it quite a bit, more so than a lot of people apparently, but I would dearly love to see what Kubrick could have done with it.

BTW, I have listed 2001 as the best SF film, but it's not my all-time #1 pick. That goes to another Kubrick film, Dr. Strangelove. I know a lot of people classify that as SF, but I don't, but it is my pick for the best film ever.
