The Final Cut with Robin Williams.
GOrah-ham was this a good film, up until the final few minutes, that is.
It can BE a great flick, IF you click the chapter button three times after you see Robins' hand on the gravestone near the very end, otherwise you get a trite, Hollywod-ized ending that nearly ruins an otherwise thoughtful & deep study of the nature of human memory.
Go for it, and remember I warned you about the end.

jeez we have some similar tastes chrisisall.

The Final Cut is a brilliant film, and it's one of many that proves Robin Williams is a great actor, not just a great comedian.

The ending was alright, but you're right, it could've been much better, but to be honest, it didn't ruin the film at all for me, I loved it.

On a seperate note,
This reminded me, I've got The Fisher King and I still need to watch it!

That movie reduces me to a pile O' tears every time. *snif*

Yeah, Final Cut was brilliant, it was believable, it drew me in with it's characters, it had tons of commentary on society- everything I watch SF for.

Well, this film is a really good movie- it's just if you follow MY directions, it becomes a truly GREAT movie IMO. It's actually the first film I've seen that you can really cut at that moment, & still have a complete, coherent & total experience with.
