You want to watch some good Trek?

I love hearing that Zoomers are going back and watching REAL Trek.

DS9 is the best Trek that ever Treked, even though they didn't actually do any Trekking.

I think the original is best because it is ORIGINAL, TNG and DS9 are good they might have borrowed from others like Babylon-5 but both those Trek's have some great episodes, very very good at times

Voyager and Enterprise tried to keep the show on the road, I think they did ok at times but scifi was already entering a post Trek world

I dont know if Star Trek works as well after the Cold War and especially after 911, Farscape was more fun and Firefly is more prophetic

at one time it was just Star Trek and Star Wars...a little boring, then it got saturated but now scifi comicbooks everything is dying in our new weirdo Hollywood era

The original was way earlier than my time and I couldn't stand watching reruns of it and didn't understand why my Dad liked it so much. We watched some TNG together from the first show but I didn't care much for that as a kid either. I did go back and watch it all later and thought more highly of it, but it was still pretty boring overall, IMO. I never caught an episode of DS9 in the original run. I did like Voyager when I was in high school, but then I grew out of that after a season or two and wasn't really watching TV for about 6 or 7 years and I missed Enterprise completely.

Back in the early 2000's though, I was catching episodes of DS9 out of order after work and even though I had no idea what was really going on I really liked it so I watched it start to finish and loved it. Especially in the later seasons when it became serialized and dropped the normal ST episodic nature.

I tried watching Voyager again and though it was boring after watching DS9. I tried watching Enterprise from the beginning and lost interest about halfway through the run.

I think DS9 ruined the rest of Trek for me. It was just so good. It was the only show up through enterprise that I thought really felt real. It was the only Trek show that had characters that felt real.

I think Kurtzman probably would agree with me on that if he were asked. But he took it WAY too far the other way and just pumped out show after show of pure trash.

I have no idea what anybody is doing or why they are doing it in this video, but it's still better than anything Alex Kurtzman was involved with.

Haha... Smoking crack there...

I'm glad to see that most of Kurtzman's stuff was on the bottom of the list, but DS9 in 4th place before Strange New Worlds????

Yeah right.

I can forgive the original and Next Generation for being ranked higher even though I disagree, but there's no freakin' chance that anything Kurtzman had his hands on was better than DS9. And Lower Decks beating out any of the original stuff is just laughable. What a trash cartoon. It's like watching Big Mouth in Space.

The thumbnail is interesting...

NO MONEY. NO LAWS. NO GOVERNMENT.
IT WORKS.

I can buy that... But there is a sub-context below that... prerequisites, if you will.

"NO MONEY" only works if there is no need for money. There is only no money if everything that everyone could want is available to them at any point in time. Not just necessities, but literally everything they could possibly want too.

If all of the above are true, there is no need at all for any laws. Nobody is ever in a position of envy... At any level. There is nothing that one person has that everyone else couldn't have if they wanted it. Legally. Because everything is free and readily available to everyone, anywhere upon request.

And if everything is plentiful and free, there would also be no need for any Government. I am assuming, of course, that everything isn't only plentiful and free here within the borders of our country. They would have to be plentiful, infinite and free everywhere else in the world too. Then there would be no need for money, laws or government.

Sure...

I guess under all of those conditions it would work.
