i am not sure if this is a good development or not. at least it almost assures lots of high octane action. i have to admit, many of michael bay's movies are fun to watch. the idea of a live action/cgi transformers movie is just kind of neat to me anyway.

No it is not a good development.I HATE MICAEL BAY!
He is a crap director(yeah, yeah I know--"I couldn't do any better.")That being said, I will not say I have given up on this film,I still believe in the other filmmakers behind it and obviously it will come down to the actors casted and the voice-over work(Adam Baldwin as Ratchet?Anyone?anyone?)Who knows there might be "more than meets the eye" with this film(waahwaahwaaaahhh---ugh.) ROLL OUT!!!!!!

"Hamsters is nice."

You mean Adam Baldwin as Iron Hide, right? Cause Ratchet is the ambulance.

Story and plot –wise I’m not gonna have high hopes regardless of who writes, directs or produces this movie. Right now I think it’ll be fun enough to see what they can do with the cgi.

I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised though.

Actually, if Peter "Optimus Prime" Cullen is aboard (as we should be hearing shortly), there's no reason he wouldn't be Ironhide (he was in G1).

Besides, as I've said over in my own thread that everyone's ignoring ( http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=8&t=8971), Spielberg, DeSanto, Murphy, and Logan are all Transfans, so I trust them to stay true to the style. And the special effects are supposedly being handled by Zoic. You know them, those guys that did that mildly-OK space-western a while back?
