How about the book rights to Firefly?

If the present stories were released in book form, and writers chose to expand the firefly verse by writing new original work ( the fanfic shows how popular that would be ) Maybe we could keep a form of firefly alive, possibly to spark it back to life on televison again. Fox has invested a pile of cash into this, if they had a mid season dead timeslot, and the books were taking off, they may be influenced to show the existing episodes again ( losing very little ) giving us another chance to fly. Ratings then may unhump us yet!
