According to an announcement on TIMMINEAR.NET, long time Angel scribe, Tim Minear, will be leaving Angel at the end of the current season to co-executive produce Firefly.

Once praised as a 'genius writer' by Joss Whedon, Minear previously signed a seven-figure deal with Fox to continue working on Angel, as well as create, write, and produce other projects for Fox.
