I'm not saying that it isn't, but just because there's a gun ban somewhere doesn't mean that you can't bring a gun on the premises.

It's the the very nature of the problem itself with firearm bans. The people who want to use them will likely be able to use them, whether it's hardened criminals who do it every day and are no strangers to a life in and out of prison already, or nutjobs like Pofahl who've gone off the deep end and don't have or care to have an exit strategy.

Because this did not seem to get much airplay, I'll point out that because this occurred on Federal Land (Oneida Nation Reservation), FBI was the investigating authority, at least for a while. Although Green Bay is on the opposite side of Ashwaubenon from this site, 3 GB Police Officers are who fired the fatal shots.
