Is anyone else think Joss Whedon is wasting his talent at the movies?

I think he is a master stroyteller - with characters so rich so's can't be told in
just two hours.

Also - look at the movie industry lately -
doesn't anyone else think they may tanking?

too many crappy storylines and too expensive

Batman Begins does an awesome job of telling the story of Bruce Wayne. In fact some of the greatest stories ever told came in movie form. So no... I don't think that Joss is wasting his talent.

Do I think that there's people that need to get shot? Yes Uwe Boll and Paul W.S. Anderson should be lit a blaze.

Are you kidding... serenity was brilliant , and as for character development: 5 bullet points
1.Mals dark charcter journey
2.the alliance operative
3. River
4. Wash
5. and most importantly: the reavers
that movie had brilliant character development, so yeah serenity 2 could definitely be a perfect continuation of the series, but has anyone considered this: an epic sci-fi channel miniseries? BATTLESTAR GALACTICA ANYONE?..

I'm a leaf on the wind

I don't think he's wasting it, but I can see what you mean. After I came out of Serenity, i felt like the other people in there had seen a dot matrix printout of the Mona Lisa, while I had see the real deal. Movies are good, but what makes Joss the tops is his characterization. Not that they aren't good in the films, they certainly are. But they are made for TV. Movie characters are like peaches: some stuff, that tastes good built around a single seed. TV characters, on the other hand, are like onions. Layers upon layers upon layers. I happen to prefer onions to peaches, but that doesn't mean peaches are bad.

Please no one send me an onion cobbler.

Yes. Joss isn't wasting his talent on movies so much as he is utterly unsuited to working in the format. I was completely disappointed with Serenity, truth be told. They only saving grace with the BDM was that it was better than nothing. Joss really does need to stick with TVs longer format.

If you can survive death, you can probably survive almost anything.
