I loved his work.
Really enjoyed him in Wind River.

I heard about this yesterday. So, so sad to get that news. He was a great actor in any film he worked in. Was a great character on the Red Green Show.

Was Red Green Show the one you recommended to me a few years back??? I vaguely remember you telling me about a show that I should check out and I totally forgot to do it. I think there was at least one "color" in the title of the show, and that's why it triggered that memory.

I think the first time I saw Greene was in Maverick. That was a fun little plot twist that he was a part of in that movie.

Of the many "That Guys" that I've seen in tons of different things over the years, he's one of several standouts in my memory because of his heritage and a look that set him apart from most of the rest, even if he didn't ever become a leading man. Right up there with the likes of the equally unmistakable Danny Trejo.

You had a good life, buddy. Hope the end wasn't too painful and that it was swift.

Red Green was the show. His character's name was Edgar Montrose demolitions expert.

I've seen Maverick. And another good early movie he was in was Thunder Heart with the late Val Kilmer now. He played the head of the local Native force on a reserve. Val was an FBI agent sent in to investigate a mysterious death. Good movie as well.

He is so up there with Danny Trejo.

Graham broke the glass ceiling to show what First Nations could do. Guys like Adam Beach and that I am sure looked up to him.

Rest in peace Brother.

Wow... It's crazy how the brain works. I think that had to be like 5 years ago now you mentioned that show. Not only did I forget the show, but I completely forgot that you mentioned it was good. But then this thread popped up and it was like, "wait a minute..."

I thought for sure though you'd tell me no and that you didn't know what I was talking about.

My attention span for TV shows is pretty short these days, but I should put it down on my list and give it a try. Is it on YouTube?

Yeah... I've seen Maverick probably half a dozen times. To me, the standout performance in that movie was Jodie Foster. I've never found her to be particularly attractive in any other thing I've ever seen her in, but something about that flirty, almost evil underneath really gets me every time. I like a bad girl who knows what she wants and exactly how to get it, but is intelligent enough to hide her intentions from the rest of the world except the guy she's using her wiles on. Give me that even in those old-timey dresses that left everything to the imagination over some girl parading around in a bikini on Instagram any day. Something about that drives me up a wall and Foster nailed it in that movie.

Greene was freakin' funny in Maverick. The little part that he played was really memorable.

He talks about pretending to be what other people expect him to be for the cash the same way I complain about working any menial job I've held in my life. I wasn't even aware how much I was going to relate to his character 30 years in the future when I was like 10 years old and first seen it.

Mel's lucky he didn't get an arrow in the head though, huh? I forgot about the choking part.

Right? I'd probably say that out of all of the "That Guy"s out there, it's Greene, Trejo and Steve Bucemi that stand at the top of the mountain. Any movie they're in is better for it, especially the bad ones.

Holy Moley...

I've just discovered a set of doppelgangers.

I looked up Adam Beach and was sure I was going to say I'm not familiar with him, but then I saw his face and I'm like "Wait... I do know that dude".

It took me a minute or two to parse through the back of my mind and dig out where I "knew" him from. He played "Johnny Blue Jeans" on a Comedy Central show from the 90's called "Viva Variety", which was the same comedy troop that later did the TV show and movie "Reno 911".

But no... That was Michael Ian Black.

You can't make this up. They're like identical twins!

I was trying to find a younger picture of Michael where he was smiling for an even better comparison, but I found it funny that in nearly every picture where he was smiling, it was with closed lips, not showing his smile. I was going to say he probably had a snaggletooth'd mouth or something and was just hiding that from the camera until I found this pic:

That right there is a set of dentures, or at the very least, the front 6 teeth on top are falsies.

No shame brother. I know how it is.

You should still be able to find Red Green on You Tube. Greene's character is always talking about blowing things up but it looks more like he blow'd himself up. In character he even talked about Dances with Wolves and said the Native guy wasn't that great. But goes on to they should have got a buffalo backed up with gas then put a stick of dynamite in it and watch it blow up. His line, "Burgers for everyone."

I don't remember much of Maverick but I should watch it again. Mel's I am sure probably should have gotten an arrow.

Yeah, I remember Jodie Foster being in that. Those old dresses were something and the corsets women wore. Yikes!

I'm sure you've seen Adam Beach in several films. He's a good actor too. And another handsome man.

Never saw Reno 911. Heard about it. Adam Beach was also in Wind Talkers with Nicholas Cage.

Yeah, but I can't see it too much.

I'm not much on Bucemi but I love Greene and Trejo.
