Yeah. I saw a video about that a while back. Kurt was the glue for that film, and Kostner really did whatever he could to make sure it failed.

I'll try to find the video and post it here if I can.

ETA: That was quick. Found it.

And he who is not sufficiently courageous to defend his soul — don’t let him be proud of his ‘progressive’ views, and don’t let him boast that he is an academician or a people’s artist, a distinguished figure or a general. Let him say to himself: I am a part of the herd and a coward. It’s all the same to me as long as I’m fed and kept warm.

Tombstone is a great movie and I love both Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer.

Kurt is one of my favorite actors, and Val's portrayal of Doc is legendary.

What a great flick.

I really like Kostner too, with Waterworld always being a great film that I defend whenever it comes up. I was kind of bummed hearing about what a dick he was when Tombstone/Wyatt Earp were both being made at the same time.

Love Kevin Costner as well. He was fantastic in Silverado another western.

Wasn't keen on "Waterworld" at the time.

That is competition for you.

You should give Waterworld another try when you get the chance. Especially if you can see it on a big flat screen somewhere.

It really was one of the last great movies that used the spectacle of real everything instead of CGI crap everywhere.

It certainly not be the deepest movie ever made, or even one of Costner's deepest flicks, but it really was a sight. I think it holds up even better today just because they just don't make flicks like that anymore.

I put it right up there with The Abyss, which was another amazing movie that would never get made today.
