This is a thread about the film Civil War. It is intended for folk who can read and comprehend English.
I'm not interested in nonsense posts from any who haven't seen the film, are not going to see the film, or are illiterate of the English language.

It would be nice if there were no replies unless whozit, Dun, Sigs, or Brenda wish to weigh in.

I did not have this on my radar when the weeks were approaching. But then I heard it was rated 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, and the synopsis sounded more interesting than what I had expected. I heard it being pushed by some who I don't normally care for. I should have saved my money and trusted my own instincts.

The summary I had seen:
"A journey across a dystopian future America, following a team of military-embedded journalists as they race against time to reach DC before rebel factions descend upon the White House."

Apparently written by somebody who has not seen the film. "Military-imbedded" means they are Libtard whiny journalist wannabees who are imbedded in New York City.
"Across America" means they are commuting from New York City to D.C. - and for anybody who can read a map, there is no America in between, only Libtard sh!tholes galore. Some might say that PA is America, but the east end of PA is merely NYC suburbs.

So, color me disappointed.

This seems like somebody wanted to make a lame copy of Creator (a superior film) and interject it with The Purge, and perhaps a tidbit of The Mechanic.

I've seen some reviews - if you can call them that. Nothing in them resonated with what was onscreen. The longest ones seemed to have watched a different film than what I saw.

If you are looking for more combat-porn or Purge action, you might like this film.

I wouldn't be surprised Nancy soyboy Libtard Karens try to claim this is a new Platoon. But this has no basis in anything sensible.

Well JSF doesn't like it.

That's good news. I'm still very hopeful that this is a good movie after reading this review.

After consideration, I think that some younger hoodrats might like this, because it does have an episodic, sequence jump style to it. The episodes are not really connected, just like there is not much cohesive storyline. But they are intense episodes of Fake War, like they have been excised from real war zones. Therefore, this plays like a combat-porn video game of war. Each level is like a level to complete before advancing to the next stage.

Also, thanks to all for keeping the nonsense out of this thread.
