I won't post any spoilers, but the first episode is about 6 people who wake up out of hypersleep on a space ship and have no idea who they are. Unknown (2006) was a non-sci-fi movie along the same lines that I really liked. Quote:Five men wake up in a locked-down warehouse with no memory of who they are. I generally prefer the TV format these days, but this type of story might be better suited for the big screen in the 2 hours or under format. I really liked Dark Matter, but I think once the mystery like this was revealed they could have done more with the story. It wasn't bad, and I still enjoyed watching it, but the loss of identity was a major part of the show's identity and when that wasn't a factor anymore it kind of stalled. Just like how the X-Files viewership kind of fell off when the "will they, won't they" between Mulder and Scully ended, I think Dark Matter was doomed to the same fate once you found out who everybody was. Do Right, Be Right. :)

Do Right, Be Right. :)I have not seen either of those that I recall. How long did the mystery last in Dark Matter? A few episodes? Wow, what a cast for Unknown. The top 11 are pulls, plus early Victoria Justice. Looks like one I should have seen in cinema, but I was busy that year, with limited movie access. BTW, welcome to Fireflyfans.net Six. This is a forum for fans of the Sci-Fi TV show Firefly and film Serenity. :P

Quote:Originally posted by JEWELSTAITEFAN: This makes me wonder about X-Files. Was Mulder fully self-aware, or did he have hidden memories? I don't feel Momento really fits in this category, and neither Phenomenon. I guess in Michael the reporters were merely foils without knowing it, thinking they were the ones in control.
