Seriously... We don't need any more women directors. We don't need any more women showrunners. We don't need any more women in Hollywood doing anything more than looking good in front of the cameras.

You've had your chance, ladies. Many, many chances. More than you ever should have gotten.

You're terrible at it. Nobody wants to see anything that you write or direct.

Not even other women.

We get it. You hate men. Go drink some wine and have a cry with your cats.

And stick to indie movies that nobody is going to watch.

Nobody gives a shit.

The Bride!

Production Budget: $90,000,000

Breakeven Point: $225,000,000

Opening Weekend (US): $7,051,476

Opening Weekend (Worldwide): $13,500,000 (15% of Production Budget)

NOTE: In 2023, when I was doing extensive research and keeping detailed records of box office cinema, it was determined that any movie that didn't make 80% of its production back on opening weekend worldwide had a near-zero chance of breaking even. Anything between 80%-99% was a coin-flip. Universal's Migration (a kids movie) was the only movie in 2023 that grossed less than 80% of the Production Budget on opening weekend and ultimately made a profit despite only making $34.3 Million worldwide on opening weekend against its $70,000 Budget.

Weekend 2 (US): $2,088,182 (-70.4% drop from opening weekend)

Weekend 3 (US): $275,000 (-86.8% drop from Weekend 2)

It made $75,000 on Sunday. There's almost a zero chance this movie doesn't get yanked from theaters on Thursday unless they're going to force cinemas to keep the lights and heat on for empty theaters all over the world.

Current Worldwide Box Office: $23,243,018 (Not even 10% of the break even point if it does get yanked on Thursday).

What did Maggie do to deserve directing a near $100 Million budget movie?

Besides saying all the woke bullshit that went out of style at least 5 years ago to the "right" people who are soon going to all be out of work in Hollywood for the rest of their lives?

Nothing.

She's directed one single movie before this. A $5 Million indie film called "The Lost Daughter" which didn't get a US release and only grossed $700k worldwide, despite being a critical darling with a 94% Critic score on RottenTomatoes.

And, SURPRISE!, Audiences seemed to disagree with that assessment, giving it only 56%.

Who greenlit any of this?

Everyone involved in the making of this flick... anyone who even had a single fingerprint on it needs to be fired.

Maggie's career in Hollywood is finished. Although I'm sure her brother Jake will manage to find her bit parts in some of his movies. I'm sure she'll make a wonderful Woke Scold, straight-ticket Democrat voting, childless cat lady... no acting even required.

She's even managed to break Nia DeCosta's records for failure here. Nia checked all the right "Progressive" boxes and was even given a Marvel movie to direct, with 28 Days Later: The Bone Temple likely being her final big budget Hollywood failure.

Don't be surprised if you see either of them checking your receipts as you walk out of the door at WalMart in the future.
