Triangle (2009) It's no Edge of Tomorrow, and unless I'm missing something it's not going to leave you with many questions at the end like a lot of time loop/time travel movies do, but for a $12 Million budget, I thought it was pretty excellent. The "lesser" Hemsworth Liam was the only name I recognized from it, and I'm pretty sure it's the first time I've actually seen him in anything. Lead actress Melissa George and did a great job... and she was gorgeous. Australian actress, which is probably why we don't see too much of her here. Did a search on IMDB though and was surprised to see that I've seen her at least three times before. She did an episode of House. She was in 5 episodes of the TV show ROAR from 1997 starring Heath Leger even before he was in 10 Things I hate about you. But the one that got me was Mulholland Drive. She played Camilla Rhodes. Not the Camilla Rhodes that got more screen time as played by Laura Harring who also played Rita, but the blonde glammed up version of Camilla Rhodes that only showed up early in the movie, if memory serves. No wonder I didn't realize that was her though. It was 12 years earlier and this was very much a different character. I can't even remember if she really had any lines in Mulholland Drive, actually. I don't know... been too many years since I've seen it. She was also in 23 episodes of Alias, but I never watched that show. As always, I recommend going in blind and not checking out the trailer first. IMDB blurb doesn't give anything away, so here it is:Quote:Five friends set sail and their yacht is overturned by a strange and sudden storm. Melissa George is gorgeous. She also had a character arc on Good Wife, which I saw on reruns. That role had similar feel to Alexandria Daddorio in Modern Family. This was Liam's first year of films. 2009 also had Chris Hemsworth as George Kirk in Star Trek, and in Cabin In The Woods.

He just went back to work and took literally any role he was offered to dig himself out of all that debt. Gotta give him respect for that. I liked Willy's Wonderland. It wouldn't even be watchable without him in it, and the fact that he doesn't say a single word in the whole movie is a good gimmick for him. The Color Purple was Okay. I didn't realize it was an H.P. Lovecraft movie until after my dad and I started watching it and when his name popped up I had to pause the movie and apologize ahead of time that it probably wasn't going to be very good. I'd say it's better than your average Lovecraft movie, but still not very good. Another movie that would have been terrible had Cage not been in it, but the movie itself was so crazy that it overshadowed Nic's crazy acting. I can't even remember the name of the one where he was showing up in people's dreams now. That one had so much potential, but the last 15 minutes were terrible and the ending sucked hard. And then there's The Surfer. God awful movie that nobody should ever watch.

Quote:Yes, yellow can symbolize narcissism, though it is not a direct or universal symbol. This association is based on several symbolic connections and psychological interpretations, from Greek myth to color psychology. The myth of Narcissus The most direct link is through the myth of Narcissus, the character from whom the term "narcissism" is derived. In the myth, Narcissus falls in love with his own reflection and is eventually turned into a flower—the narcissus flower, a genus that includes daffodils. Daffodils are known for their bright, usually yellow, blooms, which connects the color directly to the origin story of narcissism. Color psychology and symbolism In psychological frameworks and cultural interpretation, yellow's duality lends itself to both positive and negative associations. A "sickly" or deceptive yellow: Some interpretations of narcissistic manipulation identify a "sickly yellow" as a symbol for projection, the defense mechanism where a narcissist blames others for their own flaws. The dark triad: In the "Atlas of Personality, Emotion and Behaviour," narcissism is visually represented with the color yellow. This framework charts personality and emotional descriptors, including the Dark Triad traits of narcissism, psychopathy, and Machiavellianism. Ego and confidence: On the positive side, yellow is often associated with confidence, optimism, and ego. In the context of narcissism, a charismatic or charming narcissist might exude a bright, appealing "orange" or "yellow" energy during the love-bombing phase to draw people in. This bright outward appearance masks their deceptive nature, similar to how yellow has historic associations with deceit and cowardice.

Quote: Understanding the concept Order within chaos: The phrase suggests that chaos isn't a lack of order, but rather an unknown or complex form of it. Limited perception: Our inability to grasp this underlying order is due to the limitations of our perception or current knowledge. We see things from a subjective viewpoint, which can make complex systems appear chaotic. A call to decipher: The phrase challenges people to look beyond the surface of apparent disorder and seek the hidden structure or meaning within it. Examples and Context The film Enemy: The quote appears in the movie Enemy (2013), which explores themes of duality and identity. It's used to set up the idea that the protagonist's seemingly chaotic life might have a hidden, underlying pattern. Philosophical implications: The idea has philosophical roots, such as in José Saramago's The Double (from which the film is adapted), and relates to the idea that what seems messy is just order that hasn't been deciphered. Figurative meaning: In a broader sense, it can apply to any complex situation, like a messy system or historical event, where deeper insight could reveal a hidden order
