I was hoping for a repeat of Wind River, as this was written and directed by Taylor Sheridan.
Great scripting and dialogue would have been wonderful, but were not in the cards. A full and robust storyline also fell short of Wind River.
Angelina Jolie did not pull off a performance like Elizabeth Olson or Jeremy Renner. But Jon Berenthal did have a much larger role than in WR. I almost didn't recognize Nicholas Hoult. I didn't realize Tyler Perry was in it.

The background and scenery had the similar feel, but WR was snow and cold, and this was the opposite.

If you like the trailer, then this film will deliver. But not much beyond that.
WR was in 2017, 4 years ago. I do remain hopeful for the next installment from Sheridan.

Angelina Jolie is just about the most overrated actor in Hollywood right now.

I can't even think of anything I've even enjoyed her in after Hackers, except for the outfits she filled quite nicely in that terrible Lara Croft movie.

Gia was 3 years after Hackers. Some scenes, she didn't have any outfit to fill out. One of the more brazen films with gratuitous full nudity that I recall. But then, the character was a real person - the precursor to Cindy Crawford.
