6ixStringJack: The first one was really impressive for the small budget. The 2nd one was what you'd get 5 years later with Hollywood giving it an extra $10 or $20 million to play with, so even though it's got it's pros, it's got its cons. I think half of the entire budget of the first movie had to be paying the city of London to shut a few city blocks down long enough to do a few of the shots that don't make up much of the movie. |
Brenda: Cool. I love Chris Eccleston. I will have to take a better look for it then. |
6ixStringJack: Oh... Chris Eccleston is in 28 Days Later too. It's the only other thing I've ever seen him in other than kicking off new Dr. Who. |
Brenda: I'll look them up on YouTube then. |
Brenda: Have to look them up YouTube. My library hasn't got copies of them anymore. I know they did. But. |
Brenda: It was weird but about half way through or less I had figured out what would happen in it. When that happens the movie and or tv show don't interest me anymore. |
THG: South Park

6ixStringJack: But 28 Days Later was really good where the sequel was a decent follow up leaving you vaguely wanting more in the future maybe. |
6ixStringJack: But 28 Days Later was really good where the sequel was a decent follow up leaving you vaguely wanting more in the future maybe. |
6ixStringJack: I do highly recommend 28 Days later. I'd tell anybody to watch that before ever getting them started on The Walking Dead roller coaster that never ends. If you liked it, you'll probably like 28 Weeks Later too, even though it's all new characters. Can't say anything about the new one though. |
6ixStringJack: Was it at least weird? I like weird stuff that makes you think for more than 2 minutes after you're done watching it. |
Brenda: Huh. I wish I could remember if I have seen 28 Days or not. |
Brenda: Yeah, library had a copy in. No worries. Whenever you want to see it. |
6ixStringJack: I liked 28 days later because those zombies were not the slow shambling type that are easily escapable and there are a few scenes where an entire crowd turns in just minutes. And because it was a man-made virus that came out of a lab. |
6ixStringJack: Oh. You watched it already??? Wow. Sorry you didn't like it. Now I suppose I'm obligated. I'll have to watch and we can exchange notes. |
THG: |
Brenda: Oh, I managed to see "Late Night with the Devil." Not keen on it. Will let you see what you think of it. |
Brenda: Yeah, Breaking Bad was good. Never saw Better Call Saul. You have a point some shows nowadays just don't know when to quite. Yeah, it would have been interesting to see where Firefly would have gone. That was good thing about Babylon 5. J. Michael got to say all he wanted over 5 seasons. I know the sequel didn't work but the original series to me was great. |
Brenda: I think I saw28 Days but don't remember much about it. Like I've said I'm not much on Zombie movies. The only zombie movie that I've seen and kinda liked was "Maggie". I call it a thinking person's zombie movie because the bases of it is different than a lot of movies like that. |
Brenda: I think it was the first time I saw Brad Pitt. I did see "Legends of the Fall" and that was great movie too. I love "Interview". Have the book in hard cover, got it on sale somewhere. I read it first in either college or high school. Good book too. Don't think I've heard of "Cool World." Would have to look that up. There's a tv series of Interview, I tried watching that but couldn't get into it. They brought Louie into modern times from the start and it just doesn't work for the character. |
