Awhile back I searched Netflix for stuff done by Tim Minear & came up with "Wonderfalls" -- a one-seasoner that's very Firefly-sh except there's no spaceships, western stuff or the BDHs. It's got some great quirky humor and engaging stories. I highly recommend it for any FF fans out there wanna see some more good TV that came and went too soon.

So there I am watching disc 3, episode called "Safety Canary" and Jewel Staite's name comes on as a guest star! Shiny! I even paused the bugger so's I could post the info here, in case some folks wanted to check out the show.

Actually, she's in several episodes. She does a very nice turn as a character totally unlike our little Kaylee! Mean and nasty, but also... well, you'll have to watch the last ep to see!

I watched Wonderfalls this summer after I found out it had Jewel Staite and Tim Minear involved.

Overall, it was enjoyable....with only two of the episodes not really doing it for me.

My new rule of thumb...if Fox cancelled it...I make a point to watch it.

Let's see:

-Firefly
-Wonderfalls
-The Adventures of Brisco County Junior
-Space Above and Beyond

And extra credit goes to NBC for cancelling:

-Freaks and Geeks
