Okay, so it's not weekly, but it will be a long time before I notice anything else obscure. I'm getting 'em out of the way.

Months back, I posted something about how cool it was that Richard Burgi (the bad cop from The Message) showed up on "Desperate Housewives" as Teri Hatcher's ex-husband. And how we could all do the six-degrees of Firefly thing.

So since I re-watched "The Train Job" a few days ago, it follows that I re-watched "Bushwhacked" last night, and LO and BEHOLD... the Alliance Captain that's a hair-breadth from arresting the Serenity Crew is in "Desperate Housewives" too, but every week. He plays Felicity Huffman's husband (the one with all the kids). Looked right at the guy, had no idea, the girl in the room pointed it out. Doug Savant is his name. Unfortunate actor name, but impressive showing.

Moral of the Story: It pays to make girls watch "Firefly."
