Great extras (especially the lunch with Joss in high def).

"Firefly" is quite simply the best series ever cancelled.

All in all, I think that the Fox network executive who made the decision to dump this series should be hog-tied and deposited on the deck of a ship full of starving, amorous Reavers.

To sum it all up, the advantages the Blu-ray has are:

-Two additional extras ( roundtable discussion in HD, a new commentary track not on the DVD for "Our Mrs. Reynolds")
-3 discs instead of 4
-5.1 DTS Master audio instead of Dolby 2.0 (even if it's matrixed surround, it's still a great track)
-Standard Definition effects are smoother, and completely free of the compression artifacts caused by the mpeg-2 encoding on the DVD, so they are still better than DVD in addition to the remaining 1080p non-effects scenes, which clearly dominate if you were to add them up.
-you get all the extras the original DVD had as well, only they remain SD.
