This months copy of SFX Magazine includes an interview with Alan Tudyk about Serenity but also has the results of the readers awards, and suprise suprise we did quite well, not wins but for a series that got cut off halfway through it's first series it's got to be good

Best Show- 1st Buffy, 3rd Firefly
Best Episode- 1st Buffy: Chosen, 3rd FIrefly: Out of Gas
Best Actor- 1st James Marsters, 3rd Nathan Fillon
Best New Show- 1st Dead like Me, 2nd Firefly
Best FX- 1st Stargat SG1, 6th Firefly
Best DVD- 1st LOTR two Towers, 9th Firefly
Best Newcomer- 1st Ellen Muth (Dead like me), 2nd Nathan Fillon (Buffy/Firefly)
Worst Thing- 1st Buffy Ending, 2nd Firefly being Cancelled
Best Thing- 1st Return of Dr Who, 5th Firefly

I saw the magazine the other day I think its pretty damn impressive how well its done considering how long ago it was that the show was cancelled.

Ive also started to notice a few magazine like SFX, Empire etc. are getting more interested in Firefly/Serenity which can only be a good thing.

"Best Show- 1st Buffy, 3rd Firefly"

Was anyone actually watching Buffy S7?! Compared to Firefly it was absolute drek. In fact it was absolute drek anyway.

"Best Episode- 1st Buffy: Chosen, 3rd FIrefly: Out of Gas"

Out of Gas - probably best episode ME have ever produced. Chosen - solid ending to a flagging series. It's a no brainer really.

"Best Actor- 1st James Marsters, 3rd Nathan Fillon"

Well this one is tougher but I still think Nathan should have won. James' accent slips noticeably in the later years of Buffy/Angel although I'm not quite sure which timeframe these awards refer to.

"Best New Show- 1st Dead like Me, 2nd Firefly"

Dead Like Me is pretty inconsistent. Some of the episodes were great, some were dire. Firefly outclasses it on all fronts.

"Best FX- 1st Stargat SG1, 6th Firefly"

Firefly certainly has some of the best FX I've ever seen on TV but then I haven't seen any new Stargate so I wouldn't really know.

"Best DVD- 1st LOTR two Towers, 9th Firefly"

Average film. How good can the DVD be? Certainly not better than the Serenity commentary ;)

Ellen Muth - solid considering some of the shaky material. Nathan Fillion - tear-inducingly good.

"Worst Thing- 1st Buffy Ending, 2nd Firefly being Cancelled"

Buffy ending was a blessing - I can just imagine a further nosedive in quality with seaosn 8. Firefly being cancelled = the death of good TV.

"Best Thing- 1st Return of Dr Who, 5th Firefly"

Firefly should win Best Thing in all the Best Thing polls. Ever.

Hmm. I think that post may just qualify me for fanboy status...
