Kids Need to Read News--First Batch Sold Out!

I don't know if you guys have heard about this but I'm involved in KidsNeedtoRead, an effort led by Nathan Fillion and his friend, author P.J.Haarsma to get books to underfunded libraries.

In order to fund this endeavor P.J, is selling really cool packages of his book. "The Softwire: Virus on Orbis."

There are several packages available at www.kidsneedtoread.org and includeded among the different book packages is one that has a book signed both by P.J. and Nathan. I bought mine last night and I'm glad I did because I got this message from www.myspace.com/kidsneedtoread today:

"First Batch of Books Sold Out! More on the Way!
Body: Kids Need to Read is excited to announce that the first batch of The Softwire books sold out in three days! More are on the way. The response to this charitable program has been over-whelmingly positive. KNTR has received donation requests from several struggling libraries and is thrilled to be able to respond to their requests. Thank you for making this program take off and fly so soon."

We need to keep both P.J. and Nathan busy signing books.

Also, Nathan has promised to cut P.J's "Sampson like hair" if he sells a million copies.

Whoo-hoo! Is there a counter on the website of how many books have been sent out to libraries or something like that.

There isn't a counter that I know of. The news of the first 50 selling out came from P.J. himself.

I will suggest a counter though.
