No Sign of Firefly in Australia!?!

Does anybody know when or if Firefly will be shown in Australia? If it is show on Australian television it will more than likely be show on Channel 7 which is the station that shows Buffy and Angel and will be showing Tru Calling. It may also be shown on the cable TV channel FOX 8 which shows a lot of shows produced by FOX. Does anybody have any info?

Also there is no release date for the DVD set in Australia. Normally Australia gets Buffy and Angel DVD sets about a month after the UK release. Firefly has a release date in the UK but there is no release date for Australia. Does anyone know when the Firefly DVD set will be released in Australia?

Sorry no idea. I got impatient and bought the region 1 set from Amazon. I'm so glad I didn't wait! Up to Ariel for the second time and loving it.

Yep, I downloaded all the episodes, then I bought the region 1 set and I am also going to get the region 2 set with the limited edition packaging when it is released.

I'm just a bit paranoid that unless Firefly gets a bit more exposure in Australia we may not get to see Serenity at the cinema. It might become a strait to video release.

Unless its reality TV, cops shows, home shows,sports or 5 gay guys it will probably never been shown on Australian TV at a decent time.

I hate TV here, everything I watch comes through the pipe networks.

Heh. Replace the cops shows with News and the 5 gay guys with Political Coverage, and you'd have Canadian TV.
