how do i become a brownshirt as i have just become a massive firefly/serenity fan?

Welcome! Welcome! I'm not sure if there's some official procedure to become a browncoat. In some ways, the fact that you found this website and registered is evidence enough of your enthusiasm for the 'verse. I'm thinking if you can relate to some of the comments mentioned in the "you are a browncoat if..." thread, that's probably a good indicator as well.

As an aside, fans of the 'verse are known as "browncoats" and not "brownshirts". The term "brownshirt" evidently has some association with supporters of Hitler, I believe. (I could be mistaken).
