Browncoats, I need your help.

Seeing as we have some experience with wonderful shows being cancelled in their first season and then some experience with getting them back and that there is an army of us, I thought we could use our power and numbers to help out other shows of similar fates.

I've been watching the reruns of a show called Love Monkey on VH1. It stars Tom Cavanaugh as a guy working in the music industry for an indy record label. Chock full of musical guests (real and fictional) I've found this show to be intelligent and engaging, therefore, it got canned.

CBS only aired 3 episodes before flushing this one away, but VH1 is airing the 3 aired and 5 unaired episodes tuesdays at 9.
This show, like Firefly deserves more than a second chance. Is anyone here willing to help me out? C'mon browncoats, I don't think Mal would turn his back (granted he might help the show out by shooting it in the head, but I was hoping you'd think of this as more of a Heart of Gold type action).

It might not be to late for this show, we've done the impossible before. Here is a link to a message board on VH1, things are just starting, and they could use all the help they can get.

looks like it worked!! vh1 decided to pick up the show!! i think a lot of people are really happy! i'm really looking forward to the show that's airing on may 10th. i heard that gus black co-wrote a song that 1 of the characters will be singing in that episode! i first heard him on alias! so i got his album & i really like it! hopefully Love Monkey will help his career as much as it did Teddy Geiger's!! you can check out his music on myspace:

I enjoyed the show when it was on CBS, but then again, I REALLY enjoyed ED, so they are much the same character...

So, did VH1 pick up the series to ONLY show the remaining episodes, or did they really pick it up to produce more shows?????????? I'm confused.

well, it looks like VH1 aired the three previously seen shows back-to-back on April 11 and the remaining five installments air weekly after that.
but apparently no new episodes have been ordered.
darn it!

Cable seems to be the second chance for unaired episodes of great shows that were cancelled on network television. Logo plays Wonderfalls, Sci Fi played Firefly (Universal being the parent company!)and now VH1 is playing Love Monkey. Gotta love your cable! Maybe innnovative shows should just go straight to cable channels, since network seems fond of axing them!
