What were the box office numbers from the pre-releases?

I'm not sure if this has been brought up already, and despite posting on and off here for over a year now, I still can't figure out the board quite enough to look.

But I was wondering what the intake numbers were from the pre-release and their added consideration into the overall intake for Serenity.

If anyone has the info, please let me know.

I don't have any hard numbers but there were 35 screenings I think.

If each theater held 300 people @$10/ticket, that's only about $100,000.

Even if the theaters held 500 people, the total take only goes up to $175k.

With the US box office at $22.5mil those pre-release numbers don't make a huge difference.

I'm pretty sure all preview screenings or early screenings for all movies are included in the total box office numbers. So, I think the pre-release screenings would be included in the $10+ million Serenity made the first weekend.

yeah I heard the $ from those was counted into the first weekend,
but most of the Advanced screenings were in smaller theaters (200 or there abouts)
they were sold out at $10/per ticket...
but that doesn't really add up to all that much money...
it was awesome though

particularly when Summer Glau showed up at the second Chicago Advanced screening!

I must say that it takes a studio which is fairly confident they have a good product to do pre-screenings. Many films don't want reviews coming out before as it can kill a movie due to bad word coming out.
