Sometimes you gotta accept that you're Fate's b*tch. Tonight was my turn. Meeting a host of good folks prior to the BDS here in Atlanta was most enjoyable. Not as many as we were expecting, but many folks had decided to skip the meet-n-greet and go direclty to stand in line. Those of us w/ tickets, of course.

As for the rest of us...

Most who showed up @ Fuzzy's weren't filled w/ delusions of actually GOING to the BDS. The fun an excitement was the meeting of fellow Browncoats . But still.... And then Fate decided to toy w/ me. An extra ticket escapes me at the flip of a coin. ( 1 ticket, 2 fans...should have suggested Rock/Paper/Scisors - oh well) Slaythis - glad you got the ticket. As Gandalf might have put it - ".... you were meant to have it, and that is an encouraging thought."

Then another single ticket at the theatre!,...ONLY I react too late, losing to a fan who had driven down from Knoxville. I don't feel so bad. I live 10 mintues from the threatre.

Then another ticket comes by! This girl wants major $$'s, (she mentions $100! Ha ha )I offer 20, but too late..the fan from Knoxville has a wife standing in line INSIDE the theatre, and takes the tic. ( Luckily he avoids the hefty asking price.) I jokingly hint that he might not really be from Knoxville, that he's just using that line to get sympathy, but sure enough..he shows us his drivers license. No way am I going to split up a couple who've just driven that far so they can catch a screening!

Call me a romantic, or just a sucker. In the end, 6 of us waited 'till just after 10:00, hoping for a miracle.

No last minute tickets.

The manager might think we're nuts, but he was nice.

I'll see your "Drats" and raise you one motherf*$^@%$!

Drove 300 miles to Chicago with no ticket. There were 5-6 guys wanting tickets. There were two ways into the theater. 2 of the 5 of us got tickets and I was not one of them (though I was the first one there by hours--5:30).

Then to cap it off, ten minutes before the movie starts I run into my brother in law! He had 2 tickets and brought a friend because he didn't know I'd want to go.

I'm just pissed.

How about this? I COULD have purchased tickets when they went on sale and didn't because I have a night class that would not get out in time for me to drive to Chicago.

Then the class gets out early enough for me to have actually made it.

Ok, you win. All that makes having 1,2, yes 3 tickets w/ in my grasp come and go before my eyes seem less painful.

Hi, Auraptor. I was one of the group of four who met you at Fuzzy's and outside the theatre. (I was the girl in the blue Mal shirt, if that helps:-) We all agree that the situation last night sucked, and yours was the worst scenario, but we were glad to have met you and had a memorable night, anyway!

Take care. And maybe Joss will come in that helicopter dropping tickets, bars of gold, and Willy Wonka Golden Tickets someday soon!

I bet all those pre-screeing tickets just made the movie look bad anyway.

Wow, THAT took me a minute to figure out.

Cheer up, Charlie (not that I am...)

Heh heh. Thanks. Can't say we didn't try though, huh? Y'all should market those shirts, btw. Sept 30th seems years away. Grrrr!
