The actor who gave life and depth to the character of Delenn from Babylon 5 has died.

J. Michael Straczynski said in Variety that her health had been failing for a while.

Sadly she joins a list of co-stars from the show that have gone before her.

Michael O'Hare - Commander Jeffrey Sinclair/Valen age 60

Jerry Doyle - Michael Garibaldi - age 60

Richard Biggs - Dr. Stephen Franklin - age 44

Stephen Furst - Vir Cotto age 63

Andreas Katsulas - G'Kar age 59

Jeff Conaway - Zack Allan age 60

Seriously. Gran said she remembers they started adding "new miracle chemicals" to food in the late 40's and billed them as making it last longer on the shelf. All they really did was alter DNA and shorten lifespans. When your DNA gets altered like that you tend to die around 60.

It's crazy to me that they added all that stuff and had NO IDEA what the long term effects were.

I loved her on Babylon 5. I met her at a con about a dozen years ago and she was very friendly. That list is absolutely terrifying. I had no idea.

Some deaths like Andreas Katsulas was lung cancer, Stephen Furst was due to his diabetes, and Richard Biggs had a brain aneurysm.
