I heard a good point last week, following the Garland TX shooting at the Prophet Cartoon contest.

Libtards insist that Christians and other religious citizens pay for an abominable practice which their religion abhors - abortion.
So if Muslims feel their religion prohibits depictions of Mohammed, should not the Libtards also logically require that these festivals be funded by the Muslims who reject the practice on religious grounds?

Or are "logical" and "Libtard" in the same sentence going just too far?

Free Speech is great, but if it motivates others to kill you, remember that sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.

The govt. reaches into our pockets to fund everything, no matter the degree of absurdity of what it is spent on ... like oil co. subsidies, farm subsidies, shrimp on treadmills, sex habits of earthworms, bridges to nowhere, foreign aid, green energy fiascoes, etc., etc. Seems like paying for poor women'a abortions is very far from the most objectionable use of tax dollars.

Poor women, rich women, abortion or birth control pills, is that the measure we're going by now ? There's a lot else that's wrong, so we'll let this slide because it doesn't equal the financial cost of the other stuff ? What about the social cost ? Of teaching folks that actions don't have consequences, and that people don't have to be responsible for the choices they've made ?

Not talking about tax dollars. Talking about religious followers, including churches, being forced to fund, pay for abortions as part of government mandated ObamaCare.

Yeah, and so ?

Why did it take a trip to the USSC for that to happen?

It was needed because this President and his party are committed socialists, " Everybody in, nobody out " and they despise freedom and dissent.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen

I'm just a red pill guy in a room full of blue pill addicts.

In the OP, I referred to the Libtards, not the reasonable people you linked to.

This admission just took 27 years. How many more before the "mistake" is corrected?
https://twitter.com/SalmanRushdie/status/670608478784868352

One typical pattern is how Radical Muslims tell a lie... see Pally-wood, Taqiyya and Kitman, the wacko islamics throw a hissy fit and want the West to submit to their lie via submission dhimmitude or cultural surrender

The history of Islam teems with images of the Prophet Mohammed, the Turks made pictures of Muhammed, the Iranians have Mohammed paintings, the old Persian princes had images of Mohammed....the mainstream media narrative about Mohammed images being forbidden is a lie, there is no ban on islamic images of Muhammed, the whole thing is a false islamo propaganda narritive, Western media then takes the paycheck from Saudi and Qatar and repeats this same propaganda. ..

Over the last thousand years, Muslims in India, Afghanistan, Iran, Central Asia and Turkey did have a rich courtly tradition of depicting the various prophets, including Prophet Muhammad, in miniatures.

These miniatures were patronized by pious Muslim rulers, and were often richly illustrated with verses from the Qur’an, and the biography of the Prophet’s life. Yet very few Muslims today, and even fewer non-Muslims, are aware of this rich heritage.

As the Washington Post pointed out in 2006, when the first controversy over the Danish "Mohammed cartoons" was building, "There are numerous examples in public institutions in Istanbul, Vienna, Edinburgh, London, Dublin, Los Angeles and New York. Four are here in Washington in the Smithsonian Institution on the Mall. Three are in the Freer Gallery of Art. The fourth is next door in the Freer's sister museum, the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery."

The Mohammed Image archive has a robust archive of images depicting Islam's main prophet
