That is a very ugly person who moves really weird. I don't know what he's saying as I couldn't watch him for more than a few seconds, the way he wriggles around. I assume it's something anti-Obama, anti-Liberal, anti-Democrat or somesuch, but all it does is make me sad to think of you.

Tit for tat got us where we are today. If we want to be grownups, we need to resist the ugliness. If we each did, this would be a better reflection on Firefly and a more welcome place. I will try.

Wow, a straw-man attack based on nothing Niki said - AND proof that you don't even grasp the video you posted. Efficient.

While I have no idea what the orientation of that man is - he isn't being fey because he's gay - he's impersonating a specific woman - writer/director Lena Dunham. You'd think you may have picked that up from the title of the video.

Dumbass.

What is he talking about, Mark? I can't figure out what he means by that...but then, I'm not willing to put any more time or energy INTO figuring it out; I'm just going to assume it's a slur and move on. Mostly I find Rap to be very, very sad, and I'm glad I don't understand how he thinks.

Whoever that guy is, he must have a LOT to say--the one thing I noticed when I tried to watch the video (brrrr...he made me shudder so much I couldn't pay much attention to what he was saying) was that the ENTIRE side of the YouTube page was videos by him, apparently on many different subjects. Guy must think he's awfully important and that we should care a lot about what he has to say or something...

Tit for tat got us where we are today. If we want to be grownups, we need to resist the ugliness. If we each did, this would be a better reflection on Firefly and a more welcome place. I will try.

Okay, I got curious. I clicked on a couple of that guy's other videos--he moves funny in the ones I saw, too, just wiggles around a lot, gesticulates a lot, and talks a lot and fast...and it looks like has some very manly-man opinions on a LOT of shit. Did Rap think I thought he was gay or something? Weeeiirrd. I just think he's full of ego...and shit.

I guess, if I gave a shit, my question would be exactly what point Rap was trying to MAKE with this video... If I gave a shit. Bye now.

Storybook - did you miss the word ' parody ' in the title ?

I think you did.

dumbass.

@Niki - Lemmie catch ya up to speed, ma'am.

Lena Dunham, " actress " of the HBO series GIRLS, did an OFFICIAL web ad for Obama.

Watch here :

The OP was a - wait for it... PARODY of said ad. So those gesticulations you observed, were clearly OVER acted, to add to the comedic effect. And yes, he's clearly attempting to both mock the ad ( note similar shirt, tattoo, hair style, necklace ) , while displaying stereotypical 'gay' flamboyance. Was it acting ? Was he playing himself ? Dunno. Don't really care.

Uhhhh, basically speaking: SO WHAT?!? Why should I care? What was your "point" in putting it up?

No, wait, don't bother. I'm sorry, Rap, but I'm just not interested, you see.

You're welcome to keep digging around the internet to try and find something dramatic with which to diss the left/Obama/Democrats/whatever, but you kinda flubbed on this one. It's just not interesting to most people, as you can see by the responses it's gotten.

Basically: Sorry I asked.

Oh, and I guess, if there IS a point, t'was to show that one video is actually about as UN funny as the other. Hard to tell which was the 'straight', serious ad, and which was the parody.

So are you trying to say that every "ugly person who moves really weird" is gay?

You still haven't pointed out WHY you accused Niki of homophobia. Repeating her words doesn't clear things up, since she never made any reference at all to this person's sexuality.

So please, tell us all, because you're clearly an expert in this area judging by what you've said in this thread about others not being bright enough to get what you "and everyone" gets...

How do gay people act?

Are you saying that because he's doing his impersonation of Lena Dunham, he's obviously therefore gay? Do only women and gay men know about her, who she is, what she does? YOU knew all about her, right?

Or do you assume a man's gay because he talks about getting an abortion? If so, that really says more about you and your lack of understanding of how things work than it does about anyone here.

I must indeed be left out. After all, I'm not capable of divining a person's sexuality after seeing a single video of them imitating a woman.

Clearly you're the only one who can do that. Well, you and a few of your fundie friends, I'm sure.

Doesn't "pot, meet kettle" refer to someone who calls others something they don't admit to being themselves? I freely admitted to having fallen into the same trap as others, does that mean I'm calling anyone something I'm not admitting to having been myself? Maybe I don't understand the phrase... ;o)

I would, however, hope I never fell so far as to call anyone a mutherfucker. The word "fuck" is interesting; people seem to have different feelings about it. For me, used as an expletive or in general terms, it doesn't bother me; used pointedly at another individual, it bothers me. That's just me.

As to being "arbiter", my, my, we seem angry today. Never said I was; have pointed out how things are here (did I lie?), have said I wish it were different (am I alone?), and have tried--and said I would try again--to be less inflammatory. I speak for myself, nobody else, and made that quite clear, I believe, with "For me personally". I believe I have as much right to my opinion as anyone else, or am I wrong?

Well, it's of little matter...I suppose it just surprises me a bit that Rap gets so upset by my opinions and pretty much WHATEVER I write (and apparently even what font color I write it in), however mild it might be, and even if (as in this case), I disagree with someone on the left. I'm not trying to "win" anything here or control anyone else, just conversing with others as best I can and offering my opinion.

Tit for tat got us where we are today. If we want to be grownups, we need to resist the ugliness. If we each did, this would be a better reflection on Firefly and a more welcome place. I will try.

Okay, so lets raise the capital gains tax to compensate. Making money by investing does not produce anything.

You're absolutely wrong. And you'd have the exact opposite result as you're trying to get. CUT cap gains taxes, cut corporate tax rates, bring more $ back to the shores of the US,instead of sending it over seas.

Cut tax rates, cut federal spending, grow the economy...

Why the hell am I saying this again ? You'll just ignore it... and carry on w/ the fairy tale that the top 1% don't pay enough.

Two things you should realize. One cutting federal spending will take money out of the economy and cause it to shrink, not grow. Second, cutting capital gains will not bring more money here.

Oh and you have some truly wrapped reality if you think someone like Mitt paying a 14% income tax rate is fair.

...and it is only 14% because he did not take all his deductions, had he it would have been closer to 7%.

Where in the Constitution does it say that life is "fair"?

Why do you think "the producers" deserve special treatment, more rights than others?

If you want taxes to be more "fair", then you should be lobbying to get rid of capital gains tax breaks, making cap-gains rates the same as income tax rates, and you should be for eliminating the income cap on payroll taxes.

But you have no desire to have taxation be "fair"; for the rich, "fair" is when they pay a lower percentage in taxes than their secretaries do.

JAYNEZTOWN

This woman has been drugged up since she was a kid and now her body is broken.

Used to be named by magazines as the most influential people in the world, now she's a nobody.
She's been kind of a little drugged out of it since she was a child, eating some C15H8CH2N4O2NO2CLH2O4H maybe some complex Benzene ring type formula, maybe Clonazepam molecular compound drug thing? ...maybe to relieve her anxiety or some shit up until year 2018.
She had Covid symptoms for three weeks, happened maybe a year back and had an online meltdown because people were not into the social distancing thing.

She also gets involved in British politics and although she's Jewish and British Labour can at time be Anti-Jewish or Anti Israel, this Dunham endorsed Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the Labour Party.

Lena Dunham is now to Adapt Syrian Refugee Story For Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams

She's 30 but got some illness and has the broken body of a 70 yr old, walks around with a cane for additional walking support

Fox hired Crowder four years ago and gave him a lot of visibility. But the problem was that he was never that funny, and, in addition, he crossed the line more than a few times. So we let him go. It happens. This is a business. But now, sadly, on his way out the door, Crowder is proving his true colors, by being disloyal to the folks who took a chance on him and had him on the payroll for so long. The attack on Hannity only further underscores the wisdom of our decision to part company with him.
