I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Want less control over our lives... unless, of course, you're looking at abortion, gay marriage, indefinite detention, and endless warfare?

The difference between the GOP and the Dems is that the Dems believe... rightly, I think... that if the economy is run on the basis of allowing extreme divisions of wealth it will crash over and over and over again and even the wealthy will suffer. They think that if wealth is more evenly distributed then the blood of the economy (money) will keep flowing and everyone will prosper. So far, I think they've been right... er, I mean correct.

Like I said before, please go visit RT.com, or watch LinkTV, or even Al Jazeera. Then you will see what leftish-wing media looks like, and you will stop claiming that our mealy-mouthed pro-corporate media hacks are left-wing, when in reality they simply want to ameliorate the excesses of the system in order to keep it alive longer.

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Awww, sweet Sig, wasted anoher post. You don't REALLY expect him to grasp any of that, do you? He NEEDS the Dems to be the Evil Left, I sometimes think he couldn't survive if he knew they weren't...!

On the other hand, everything you wrote IS true, sadly in some ways. Given we've been going the opposite direction for so long now and the gap is getting extraordinarily wider seemingly exponentially, I think we're in for a pretty rough ride...ESPECIALLY if Republicans continue to control the House, since they'll stymie everything for another four years...sigh... Ah well, there's always 2016; hopefully by then people will be so desperate they'll ... I dunno, start paying attention or something? Start using their brains? Alas, where Rap is concerned, it's a waste of time to even hope...

I've made my views on abortion quite clear here, and my guess is that there are more pro choice Republicans than there are pro life Democrats.

Gay marriage isn't actually a REAL issue, is it ? Please. The false choice of accepting gay marriage, or nothing at all, seems a bit childish and demagogic ,imo. Probably done so on purpose.
