Spoken like someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. Scripts, good one at least, do not get written overnight. They require a great deal of work, usually done with no guarantee of payment. And few writers reach a level of success (by which I mean making enough to pay a mortgage) for many years. It takes a hell of a lot of commitment for someone to seek a creer in writing - a long shot job with long hours, little pay (except for a small percentage), and low recognition.
