Quote:A US Coast Guard cutter on Monday unloaded a record haul of illegal drugs that, if it had made it to the streets, would represent around 23 million deadly doses of cocaine, the service said.

Quote:The framing is stupid though man... A little ridiculously hyperbolic, shall we call it? Although it's HILARIOUS watching that headline come out of CNN when I assumed it was a FOX News headline. First Paragraph: Quote:A US Coast Guard cutter on Monday unloaded a record haul of illegal drugs that, if it had made it to the streets, would represent around 23 million deadly doses of cocaine, the service said.No. That's not what it "reprsents". People who do cocaine aren't intentionally trying to kill themselves. At least not immediately via overdose, they're not. If anything, they're like smokers who know they have a bad habit that will kill them eventually, but not today. This shit gets processed and cut, and then cut again and cut again and maybe even one more time as the supplies get dispersed through their networks down to the little guy street dealers, and by the time the final baggies are bought by customers off the street, by that point it's more Vitamin B, baking soda and anything else white and powdery what won't immediately kill the customer than there is cocaine in that powder. As for the size, either they busted this one early before the stuff started being separated, or maybe the Drug Kingpins living here were trying to stock up before tarrifs hit their product. Or, maybe they're just hoping for one big last hurrah knowing that a lot of them are illegal and their time in America is short. -------------------------------------------------- "I don't find this stuff amusing anymore." ~Paul Simon
