In 2022, a Prince George’s County, Maryland, couple lost custody of their 16-year-old autistic son after refusing to affirm him as a transgender girl during a stay at Children’s National Hospital.

The couple, who are Black and Christian, tell their story in the Daily Caller’s new documentary “Separated: When the State Takes Your Kids.” The series also highlights two other couples who “paid an awful price for refusing to participate in left-wing gender madness.”

Meanwhile, in once-sane Colorado, state lawmakers last week approved a Democratic-sponsored bill advancing “transgender children’s rights” in public and charter schools.

One provision allows judges to take away custody if parents refuse to affirm a child’s sexual identity. Another section orders school officials to use a child’s chosen name and to allow “any of the options provided in the dress code.” In other words, it’s pretend time, or else.
