Personally I like freedom but I think there is a citizen civil responsibility with folk, I sometimes fully support Order, Peace and Law and I know many original laws had a religion base to them, I don't really know what to think of religion. Perhaps I am secular, agnostic about the idea of a God the 'GOD' but there is no denial of the heritage of the USA, Europe, North America. The USA has or had a Christian heritage, this heritage is a fact alongside other customs some Native American and some imported and assimilated from other parts of the world, certain wars or anniversary are marked.
but now we have new levels of chaos, rioting and violence
nothing has a sacred meaning
Maybe back in the 1690s, the 1700, 1800s, the 1950s people would be publicly humiliated, tared and feathered for this kind of thing

With Law and Order facing some absolute breakdowns I wonder if that truly was such a bad thing and has the entire West gone soft on crime.

This is all being allowed to happen. It's on purpose.

Eventually the pendulum is going to swing so far the other way that people will long for the early 2020's. But until that happens, this is going to be allowed to keep getting worse every year until people are begging for the Heavy Hand.
