I recently heard of alternate meanings of this Acronym, and was wondering how FF Fans decoded it.

Of course the problems with Acronyms is so much confusion results, and is nothing new, maybe the most common I've seen is HVAC.

So do you think it means:
In My Humble Opinion
In My Honest Opinion
I May Have Opioids
Or something else?

Please also include the first year you ever worked with a computer.

I expect the first year I programmed a computer was 1978.

"In My Humble Opinion" is how I understand it.

mainframe programming in fortran and I forget what else ca 1973-74 or thereabouts
z-80 programming in assembly ca 1975-76 or thereabouts

In My Honest Opinion, although I do like Rappy's take.

First year I worked on a computer was a one semester computer course in 8th grade where I learned to program stuff on an Apple ][ e. Did a lot of self-teaching when our family finally got a PC in 1994 (sophomore year).

Didn't actually make any money with it until 1999.

Listed in most acronym/ urban/ online dictionaries as "in my humble opinion", which is how I first saw it over a decade ago.

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=IMHO
http://catb.org/jargon/html/I/IMHO.html
http://onlineslangdictionary.com/meaning-definition-of/imho
https://www.acronymfinder.com/Slang/IMHO.html
https://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/IMHO

"In my honest opinion" seems to be a "backronym" or alternate version developed after IMHO come into use.

So IMHO "IMHO" mostly means "in my humble opinion".

Ummm... 1974? At university when they still had punch-card readers; when you had to toggle in the bootstrap program (in binary) for the PDP-8; and monitor/keyboard terminals to the mainframe were just beginning to be used.

"In My Honest Opinion" is what I was told it was.

I started playing solitaire on a computer back in the late 80s.

Looks like most of the reasonable folk have chimed in.

I had been told it was In My Honest Opinion, from a Bulletin Board I was on about 17 years ago, after returning to the web from hiatus.

So I have misinterpreted others who intended it to mean something else, and I have used it myself with assumption that I would be understood.

So the Votes are:
Humble - 2, both from those who started working with computers prior to 1977.
Honest - 3, all from those who started working with computers after 1977.

"Humble" according to just about every online dictionary that you care to consult. "Honest" is shown as a secondary meaning.

IMHO, "IMHO" if interpreted as "honest" sounds more assertive/aggressive than "humble" because "humble" denigrates one's own opinion, encouraging other people to express theirs. Is that how you would interpret that?

Assertive, yes.
I consider the 2 meanings to be Not very similar.

Online dictionaries were a crapshoot in 2001. Most of them are likely not around as anymore. I was learning a lot of new acronyms like WOT, FTW, ROTFLMFAO, NSFW then and did not question it.

I would consider the opinion that 2+2=4 to be more Honest than Humble.
I envision Honest to be weighing in, Humble would have been fostering competitive viewpoints. Such as 5 or 3, instead of 4.
Honest would be more certain, Humble would have been more uncertain.

Why are you referring to online dictionaries circa 2001? I looked at the meaning just before I posted my answer because I wanted to see if I had misinterpreted the acronym or if the meaning had changed

I always thought for many years that FTW meant "Fuck the World" too, so take my understanding on acronyms with a grain of salt.
