Saudis exerted 'massive' pressure on U.N. to be removed from blacklist

The Saudi-led coalition -- made up of several Arab countries -- began a military campaign in Yemen in March 2015 aimed at preventing Houthi rebels allied to Iran and forces loyal to Yemen's deposed President Ali Abdullah Saleh from taking power.

But last month, a U.N. report claimed the alliance was responsible for 60% of the 1,953 children recorded as killed or maimed in the conflict in 2015 -- a sixfold rise since the previous year. They were added to a blacklist of of groups violating children's rights in armed conflict, before dropping off the list again earlier this week.

Saudi war crimes: too many to count.

The Saudis and their decades-long love affair with extremist Wahhabism - which makes a point of justifying pillage, slavery, brutal execution, rape, and terrorism in the name of Allah- are at the heart of almost everything that's wrong with the Middle East. IF the Saudi Royal family, and their dingleberry clerics, were gone tomorrow, many of the terrorist groups would wither on the vine for lack of funding.

But if there's one thing that the Saudis have learned from their allies- the USA- it's that money can buy a good reputation.

UNITED NATIONS — The United Nations secretary general is supposed to answer to every nation on earth — and no nation at all.

So the unusually frank admission by the secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, on Thursday that he had essentially been coerced into removing a Saudi-led military coalition in Yemen from an ignoble list of armies that kill and maim children was a rare window into the limits of his moral and political authority — and an object lesson for whoever succeeds Mr. Ban next year.

ISIS committing genocide against Yazidis – UN

Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) has committed the crime of genocide against the Yazidis in Syria and Iraq, UN investigators said on Thursday. The militants sought to destroy the ethno-religious group of 400,000 through killings, sexual slavery and other crimes, the independent investigators said in a report. The document said the genocide of the Yazidis “is ongoing,” Reuters reports. The investigators urged major powers to rescue at least 3,200 women and children still held by IS and to refer the case to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for prosecution.

I'll tell you what I DON'T like about Trump: I think that he has never confronted either the international banking cartel, nor the CIA-State Dept multi-headed hydra, nor the military-industrial complex. The last person to confront them was JFK (BTW, ALL immigration was illegal under JFK) and look what happened to him.
