2014 awesomeness...

By the time I figured this woman was pulling the strings i would be so happy my insomnia was cured that I'd pretty much do whatever....

Don't ever underestimate an entirely compelling voice above any other tributes.....

If you're good at it now, you're only going to get better at it.

The only people who want you "caught" are stupid people that are just smart enough to realize that there might be other smart people.

Are you gonna stay the night?

The offer expired 20 seconds before you even thought to say no :)

Make that guy your man for life though.... Make use of the wiggle room.

If you're not in total control of your man 20 years from now, I want to feel sorry for you but you didn't do it right.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

America loves a winner!

' Come on Eileen ' was released in England in the summer of '82, so I got to hear it before the video had made its way onto MTV.

Here's a little known factoid I ran across...

"Come on Eileen" prevented Michael Jackson from ever having back-to-back number one hits in the US: "Billie Jean" was the number one single the previous week, while "Beat It" was the number one song the following week.

Great time, the 80's.

Kids was her big breakthrough in America on MTV. Every guy fell in love with her. She's still going strong today all over the world.

Here's another early one, a bit of a departure from her pop persona.

Damn...I hadn't seen that one before. I wonder if she had tried to pair up w/ Brian Setzer at any time. Of course, at this point, he was doing the Stray Cats stuff, but about 10 years later, his Orchestra sound started to take off. Very similar to what Kim was doing here.

Honestly, I never 'got' Brian Setzer, and he certainly never looked that good in a tight leather dress!

So, from the header, you figure that the coming ( Coming? Well over a year away, almost 2, with another one coming first?) elections are a done deal already, and your side is gonna get its ass kicked again, and so you're gonna start now with the distractions about crappy 80's disco music?

Disco thankfully died in the early 80's.
