It's a brilliant show and he's very funny. I loved the line about Sting. The show comes on right after "Veep", another hysterically irreverent show on HBO.

His best piece so far was a few weeks ago ....

The bit about the former top lobbyist for the cable companies, Tom Wheeler, now in place as chair of the FCC, was of particular interest.

Thought Obama was suppose to do away with all that, remember ?

How's that hopey changey stuff workin' out ?

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

I seem to recall some promises about "the most transparent government ever" and "Changing the way government works" and even "stopping the revolving door".

And yet, despite the stunning stampede of the WH in the opposite direction of its promises, there are people who STILL think that Democrats and Republicans are even fractionally different from each other. (sigh) Both are very comfortably in the embrace of the oligarchs.

Anyway, I thought this episode was effing brilliant, and FWIW it crashed the FCC website.

Of course, the sad truth is that it doesn't matter what most Americans really think or what most Americans really want. 80% of the people can want something rather badly, and it will never happen, as long as TPTB don't want it. Where internet neutrality stands a chance is that this is something of The Clash of the Titans: telecom providers versus content providers. And Americans have a few significant forces on their side- content providers like Netflix and Google - so the decision isn't a foregone conclusion. Kudos to Oliver for seeing a situation with a built-in wedge and pounding the wedge in further.
