Paul Scalia, the son of the SC justice, is a Roman Catholic Priest with a special interest in helping those with same-sex attractions shut that whole thing down. Funny how he seems so very interested in that topic...

From an article Paul Scalia wrote praising a series of books that are pretty much Pray the Gay Away:

Quoted:

In this radical transformation of society, one of the greatest casualties is the individual who experiences homosexual attractions but who desires to live chastity. [snip] This individual is caught in the crossfire of the broader battle. He suffers great loneliness and often despair in the face of a struggle that some see as futile and others ignore.

[snip]

One is also struck by the variety of angles from which Father Harvey examines the matter: moral, philosophical, theological, biblical, sociological, psychological, and political. He considers the origins of homosexuality, the possibility of change, the importance of friendships, the best kind of counseling, the meaning of chastity, and so on. Unlike many writers and speakers on this topic, he never falls into the trap of thinking that it can be flattened out and made a one-dimensional issue (e.g. “Love is love”… “Born this way,” etc.).

Yes, it is one dimensional to just let love be love. Religious persecution and brain washing by a zealot father are the y and z axis, I take it.
