Tricia Nixon attended Finch College, and while there she ran in the same social circle as another young California debutante, the lovely and charming Grace Wing. A few years later Tricia invited some Finch girls to the White House for a gala reception including Grace. She was completely unaware that by then Grace Wing had married. Her name was now Grace Slick and she had gone counter-culture, was the lead singer in Jefferson Airplane, and was famous as the 'voice that launched a thousand trips'. Grace accepted the invitation and showed up with her fellow bandmates, but they didn't exactly dress for the occasion. She had brought LSD with her, and wanted to get Nixon and his family trippin'. The Secret Service escorted them away from the festivites rather hurriedly.

She briefly recalls the incident in this interview at the 6:50 mark...
