"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

Niki, you might have missed it, but it's a sort of "companion piece" to an earlier viral hit of his, his reading of the book "Go the F**k to Sleep" - a spoof of children's books.

"I supported Bush in 2000 and 2004 and intellegence [sic] had very little to do with that decision." - Hero

Mitt Romney, introducing his running mate: "Join me in welcoming the next President of the United States, Paul Ryan!"

Rappy's response? "You're lying, gullible ( believing in some BS you heard on msnbc ) or hard of hearing."

OONJERAH

Fortunately, I did see "Go the F**k to Sleep" - a spoof of children's books.
It is about a sleepy adult bein' too overworked & tired to deal with a wakeful child.
My (middle class) brother is too overworked & tired for world events; has become an ostrich.
My (middle class) youngest sis prefers to kiss conservative a**, eventho the fall of 2008
wiped out half her assets. Like it can't happen again? No, it can't. Her line is, nothing
(else) can go wrong. Fukushima is not a problem. There is no global warming. The middle
class is not being systematically disimpowered.

Jackson just wants the Grown Ups to wake up before ALL choices are gone.
Good luck with that, Sam.

He's thinking perhaps that his role in one of the biggest films in history might lend some visibility to his timely & important message.

Funny you would say that, Niki, as you ignore where this message comes from ( the Left ) and how it caters to the lowest common denominator, much like the Occupy crowd. No, it's no where near worthy of anything I'd say. In fact, it's quite the opposite, and a part of the cancer I see which resides w/ the political Left of this country. A nose dive of standards to common decency.

Teaching little kids to proudly use the F word , in public ? Where's that get fun ?

Gawd, I just LOVE it; according to Rap--sorry, I just can't keep calling him "Raptor"...I LOVE raptors--the real ones, predatory birds...and he's just too damned far away from anything like them. Anyway, according to him, the fact that I dissed the video means nothing unless I SAY it's from the Left...or something. The fact that it's OBVIOUSLY from the left means nothing, I gotta SAY where it comes from. Talk about obtuse!

No, I can't watch the whole thing. Funny or not, it turned me off immediately. I have no desire to watch something all the way through which offends me, WHICHEVER side it comes from. Bad taste is bad taste, whatever the message, whatever the political spectrum.

It's a HUGE issue. The question isn't whether or not they KNOW it, but to promote their USE of the word , in public discourse. It's a sad degradation of civility in our society. Shows lack of character and teaches them that being vulgar is just fine.

So, you admit that Obama has F'd up this country ? Great, we agree on something then.

Romney and Ryan will save this country, because they're competent and know what the hell they're doing.

The GOP has gone bigger, better. I honestly thought Bush & Cheney were the ultimate filthy fucked-up duo, they have now been measurably exceeded in both lack of intelligence AND lack of Humanity.
Of COURSE they know what they're doing. That's the biggest threat to us as a nation.
But not to YOU, AU. You'd love having us go into another big war, see more American kids die of poverty, see our debt triple, see the wealth even MORE concentrated at the top.
Why do you hate your country, AU? Why do you want hundreds of thousands of more civilians to die? Are not Obama's fucking drone strikes killing enough of them for your taste? Why do you wish the greater of two evils upon us? Political euthanasia? Is that it?

For all Rappy's phony prudishness, is there ANY indication that Jackson used the f-bomb in the presence of this child? If there ANY indication that the commercial is aimed at children, or at teaching them how to use the F-word?

Y'know, if you bleep things at random, you can make almost anything seem really, really filthy.

Just imagine how horrified Rappy will be by that! It must be hard going through life as such a miserable c**t.

Clinton lied, and he's treated as a gorram rock star. So spare me the ' not if it's the Right doing the lying' crap.

The Left will go to any lengths to justify its faults, but turn on a dime to vilify the Right for doing 1/10th of what the Left does.

( And whilst the Sesame Street thing is chuckle worthy, I don't see the relevance to this topic. Kudos on the Hulk /Loki reference though. That was gut bustin' funny. Both times I saw it. )

If you watch the camera cuts, you'll notice they set it up so Jackson didn't use profanity in the presence of the kid(s).
While the notion of Jackson as a kinda demented cat-in-the-hat is theoretically entertaining, and I sympathize wholeheartedly with the message, it didn't do it for me, dunno why.

Exactly my point.

Rappy's phony indignation isn't just phony, as usual - it's not even aimed at anything that really happened!

It's as ridiculous as his whole "ObamaPhones" outrage.

Explain to me again why it's no big deal for Paul Ryan to lie about his marathon finishing time. I mean, it's not like any kids would ever look up to him or anything, right?

And he's treated like a goddam rock star by the right - and by you as well.

I absolutely do not care what Raptor thinks or says. That's a distraction.
=--> Gee whiz! Could we ever have an "ignore Raptor" day, week, month? <--=

The message of the video: America is going to Hell in a handcart pushed by the Rethugs.
Most Americans have chosen to go semi-catatonic about it. The rest are in denial.

It's not like this kingdom is being lost for lack of a horse ... just the opposite.
It's bein' lost for MASS stupidity, indifference, moral paralysis, acceptance of TPTB.
Not to mention feelings of helplessness.

What can I do? What can You do?
Can we talk about what's relevant?
