If you are naive like me, you may have assumed that the speech to text function was handled locally. What a shock to discover all your spoken words are transmitted to an apple site somewhere where they are potentially stored for an indefinite period. Never mind contacts and other info.

I wonder how hard it is to produce a recording of someone saying something they didn't say. Shades of Tango and Cash.

No surprise here. I always knew they could record me on whatever phone I had if they wanted to, Siri just makes it easier. Thus my complete uninterest in the latest gadget phones, plus I'm a Ludite and hate learning new things with technology, it makes me angry and makes me cry, so I avoid it when possible.

I assume you're my pal until you let me know otherwise.
