Nuke bombs in the Iraq War

B61 nukes are what I loaded on F111s, which were deployed to Turkey to bomb Iraq in Gulf War #1. Did they drop nukes? My coworkers at RAF Upper Heyford UK returned from Turkey with immediate disabling symptoms of Gulf War Syndrome, and the base was then closed. It's unknown if any of those US soldiers survived. At no time were any of the soldiers nor bombs ever checked for radiation.

This is just academic dishonesty. Radioactive atoms? Please. A nuke is not random radioactive atoms, and tis not just highly radioactively, it exploses into a firestorm that kills all life. DU is not a nuke. It's uranium ore it happens to make great armor, and if youre making nukes, you have lots of it left over. Areas where DU has been used are not particularly higher in radiation than natural levels in uranium rich countries like Iran and Niger.

Hell, I've got dishes that were made with depleted uranium (the old Fiesta® Ware bright orange, or "Radioactive Red", they used depleted uranium to get the orange/red color in the glaze). If you wore one of the 20" serving platter strapped to your chest for your entire life, it would be the equivalent rads of getting one chest X-ray.

On this matter, make no mistake. I want you to go fuck yourself long and hard, as well as anyone who agrees with you. I got no use for you.

Fuck you, you cock sucking community activist piece of shit.
... go fuck yourself, Mr. President.

Well, while PN is of course exaggerating, and currently the threat isn't what it was - we did have a serious problem with DU dust from our own tank munitions when we were blowin the hell outta Iraqi tanks, not that they have any left, but at the time it was awful and negatively impacted the health of a LOT of guys in armor, whether they were actively in a furball or not cause that crap gets around, you see ?

There's still places out there where everyone KNOWS there's death-dust and stays the hell away, but any actual admission of such would implicate us and so we pretend there's not a problem and make no effort to clean it up - oh, did I also mention the A-10 uses DU rounds for it's main gun ?

And it's nothin to screw with, neither.

Remember those "perfectly safe" platitudes come from the same assholes who came up with SLAM, thought it was a good idea, and tried to put off radiation dosage in happy-shiny "sunshine units", I've a little experience with some of that bullshit (not as much as the biochems, as I explained to DT here a while back) and as is typical, the Gov is not to be trusted about this.

There was a town out west that had some concerns when the army brought back a bunch of disabled M1 Abrams on rail cars, and for reasons no one has ever yet been able to figure or find out, left the goddamn things sitting there unoccupied, unattended, and all but abandoned - kids being kids, they went over and started playin on em, right up till some enterprising local "conspiracy theorist" (who was prolly laughed at for even suggesting such a thing) pointed out the DU problem, then came back with a geiger counter, which went apeshit when he came near the tanks.

Thankfully, one of the local industries was a plant that made christmas tree flocking with a wax based formula, and wax is slightly effective at mitigating radiation without the toxicity of lead, so they went and ran up a large batch with the wax content as high as they could get it, and then flocked those hulks, both to mitigate the rads and prevent rain from washing oxides into their water supply.

Never did hear back from em, for all I know the hulks are still there - and that ain't the only place, there were a bunch of em left lyin around Topeka.

As for Iraq, well, you won't hear a fuckin peep outta the american media, but if you want hard facts and figures, here ya go.

Nasty stuff, it is, and if you have any doubt that the folks makin it and orderin it's use don't fully intend the continued lethal effects of the dust as an intentional weapon, then you underestimate the sociopathy of those responsible.
