Well, yeah but if the guys hadn't tried to pervert the course of justice by continually trying to bribe the jury, they'd have had their trial by jury already. In fact they've had three, but they kept bribing the jury, so the case kept having to be retried. Clearly they didn't want a fair trial by jury, so they're not getting one, they should be happy, they're getting what they wanted.

Britian used to jail all juries until they reached the "correct" verdict.

The British Empire did the same in USA, until their judges and soldiers got the death penalty in the Revolution.

This new trial is the return of Star Chambers. Just like Gitmo.

Juries still are sequestered, but not for trials that might take six months. Why should jurors be taken out of their lives for half a year because some arseholes don't want a fair trial for themselves?
