Happy New Year.

Hope you all have a nice healthy, happy, safe, and prosperous year regardless of your political, sexual, or religeous orientation.

To all the Hollywood writers...get back to work, the world needs more Chuck and Galactica (and less reality TV).

To all the political types...hope your elections go well (except the Democrats in which case I hope everything goes well and you lose anyway).

To all the soldiers...be safe, kick ass, come home (not necessarily in that order).

To all the scientists...discover something cool.

To all the lawyers...plead your cases, don't make me kick your asses in trial.

To the Browns...you deserved a spot, hope you earn one next year.

To President Bush...one year left, make it a good one. I note for the record that this sentiment should be shared regardless of how you feel about Bush in general, although what 'good' means is subjective.

To PirateNews...the first step is admitting your crazy. Step 2, is admitted that Queen Elizabeth is NOT a Nazi. Work on it (its a 12 step program that ends with you working for the Guiliani for President Campaign).

To the liberals...hope you have a nice year.

To the conservatives...hope you have a nice year.

To the Islamic Jihadists...hope you all die horrible deaths and realize in your final moments the utter futility of your struggle and the truth about the evil you do. Many unhappy returns.

To Firefly Fans everywhere...here's hoping this year brings us good news on the Serenity 2 front.

Hard to be optimistic when one so close to you won't be here to see the new year, nor any other. Happy New Year ? I suppose, just not sure it'll mean all that much.
