An interesting article on the Bush Administration and the multitude of crises facing us today.

When Clinton left office, he balanced the budget and left us with a surplus and didn't start any wars. When Bush leaves us, we'll be facing a much more complicated world with threats coming from North Korea, Iraq, Afhganistan, Somalia, the everlasting Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and a gigantic federal deficit. Hopefully our bankers (Japan, China, Russia) won't collect on our debt anytime soon.

It's like a national binge and purge cycle. The morons elect repugs so they can feel macho and (supposedly) safe at the same time, until the money runs out. Then they elect dems for a few years til their mess is cleaned up, then they go back again. Ad nauseam.

I have a vote and I'm not afraid to use it!

Bush predicted that Republicans would keep their majorities in the House and Senate, "Because we're right on winning this war on terror, and we've got a good economic record," he said. "People are working under the leadership of the Bush administration and the Congress."

Or maybe someone clued him in on the Diebold secret.
