You know that 10-year "pause" in global warming that the rightwing made so much of a year ago?

Yeah, me neither.

NASA, NOAA Find 2014 Warmest Year in Modern Record

Quote:

The year 2014 ranks as Earth’s warmest since 1880, according to two separate analyses by NASA and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) scientists.

The 10 warmest years in the instrumental record, with the exception of 1998, have now occurred since 2000. This trend continues a long-term warming of the planet, according to an analysis of surface temperature measurements by scientists at NASA’s Goddard Institute of Space Studies (GISS) in New York.

America loves a winner!

It's actually closer to 20 years now, fyi.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen

I hope you realize, rappy, that the chart that you posted actually shows a temperature increase over the past 20 years.

Hope all you want, it doesn't.

0.4 degree increase back in 97, 0.35 today.

Virtually zero "warming".

Climate varies, over time.

There is no crisis.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

You need glasses. Also, I hope you're not thinking it's degrees F. ANNDdddd finally - do you think 'climate' happens over 10 years?

SAGAN: We are releasing vast quantities of carbon dioxide, increasing the greenhouse effect. It may not take much to destabilize the Earth's climate, to convert this heaven, our only home in the cosmos, into a kind of hell.

Thank you for pointing that out. I looked at rappy's numbers, and the first thought that came to mind was: What the fuck?

YES! According to rappy, CLIMATE not only happens in one day, it happens in his own back yard! Unless, of course, it's doing something he doesn't want to acknowledge, in which case it happens only after millennia!

You can't fault the boy for overabundance of logic, that's for sure.
